High-Hardness, Water-Stable, and UV-Resistant Conductive Coatings Based on Waterborne PEDOT:PSS/Epoxy/(KH560/SiO2) Composite

Despite the fact that PEDOT:PSS has been successfully used in field of flexible electronics, some its applications domain rigid conductive coating have limited by pricey cost and subpar mechanical properties (hardness, adhesion, moisture absorption) commercially available Clevios™ PH 1000, as well poor conductivity, film formation, self-made PEDOT:PSS. In process investigating low-cost preparation PEDOT-based polymer coatings, we discovered PEDOT:PSS, a waterborne epoxy resin, bio-based curing agent can be blended uniformly to produce good film-forming coatings. Later, addition KH560-modified nano-SiO2 further improved coating’s hardness while ensuring modest increase conductivity. Meanwhile, inadequacies which are not UV-resistant, were considerably synergistic action modified SiO2. The result is method designed for creating coatings UV-resistant may utilized electromagnetic, electrothermal, antistatic shielding applications. Such PEDOT:PSS/epoxy composite system design approach will broaden scope PEDOT:PSS’s application inspire future research practical implementations PEDOT:PSS-based conducting
