HIGH-INTENSITY INTERVAL TRAINING ON PHYSICAL FUNCTION IN OBESE COLLEGE STUDENTS

نویسندگان

چکیده

ABSTRACT Introduction: Obese students easily accept high-intensity interval training due to its combination of exercise and rest. It is believed that, besides promoting the reduction body mass index aerobic character, such can also positively impact physical function practitioners. Objective: Study effects on indexes obese college students. Methods: Twenty were selected for four weeks training. Distributed by equal random selection, experimental group received sessions per week. The duration from beginning preparatory activity end stretching totaled 1.5h. control performed their daily activities without intervention. relevant indices volunteers evaluated recorded before after Results: lean in increased 1463,846 ± 209,888Kcal 1573,514 194,492Kcal. vital capacity 2573.94 ml 3553.98 ml. However, showed no changes. Conclusion: High-intensity proved useful improving students’ general health levels helping them recover normal indexes. Level evidence II; Therapeutic studies - investigation treatment outcomes.

The effect of high-intensity interval training and high-intensity resistance training on the Lipid profile and body composition in overweight and obese men

Background & Aim: Obesity is a metabolic disorder that can be controlled and prevented by increasing calorie consumption and reducing calorie intake from food. This study aimed to investigate the effect of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and high-intensity resistance training (HIRT) on lipid profile and body composition in overweight and obese men. Methods: 30 overweight or obese men ...

The Effect of High Intensity Interval Run Training on Cross-sectional Area of the Vastus Lateralis in Untrained College Students

Aerobic cycling has been repeatedly shown to induce hypertrophy in skeletal muscle across a variety of populations, while there has been a lack of investigation into the impact of running upon hypertrophy. An increasingly popular model of aerobic exercise is high-intensity interval training (HIIT); in addition to its positive impact upon cardiovascular health, HIIT may be sufficient for inducin...

Effect of High Intensity Interval Training on the Level of Leptin and Liver Enzymes in Obese and Overweight Males

Introduction: Obesity is a complex disorder, which is characterized by excessive accumulation of adipose tissue. Leptin is a peptide hormone, which is basically secreted by adipose tissue and is effective in the regulation of body weight and fat. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of high-intensity interval training on the level of Leptin and liver enzymes in obese and over...

High Intensity Interval Training Increases Natural Killer Cell Number and Function in Obese Breast Cancer-challenged Mice and Obese Women

High intensity interval training (HIIT) boosts natural killer (NK) cell number and activity in normal weight breast cancer patients; however, whether this occurs in obese individuals is not well established. The goal of this study was to determine whether HIIT effectively boosts NK cells as a therapeutic strategy against breast cancer in an obese mouse model and in overweight/obese women. Diet ...
