High-temperature superconductivity and its robustness against magnetic polarization in monolayer FeSe on EuTiO3

چکیده
Abstract Spin degree of freedom generally plays an important role in unconventional superconductivity. In many the iron-based compounds, superconductivity is found close proximity to long-range antiferromagnetic order, whereas monolayer FeSe grown on SrTiO 3 , with enhanced superconductivity, exhibits no magnetic or nematic ordering. Here we grow and multilayer EuTiO (001) layers, effort introduce a spin polarization FeSe. By X-ray dichroism, observe antiferromagnet–ferromagnet switching Eu Ti sites driven by applied field, concomitant Fe site Transport measurements show transition temperature ~30 K. The band structure revealed photoemission spectroscopy analogous that FeSe/SrTiO . Our work creates platform for interplay two-dimensional limit.

Dome-shaped magnetic order competing with high-temperature superconductivity at high pressures in FeSe
The coexistence and competition between superconductivity and electronic orders, such as spin or charge density waves, have been a central issue in high transition-temperature (Tc) superconductors. Unlike other iron-based superconductors, FeSe exhibits nematic ordering without magnetism whose relationship with its superconductivity remains unclear. Moreover, a pressure-induced fourfold increase...
متن کاملUltrafast Dynamics Evidence of High Temperature Superconductivity in Single Unit Cell FeSe on SrTiO_{3}.
We report the time-resolved excited state ultrafast dynamics of single unit cell (1 UC) thick FeSe films on SrTiO_{3} (STO), with FeTe capping layers. By measuring the photoexcited quasiparticles' density and lifetime, we unambiguously identify a superconducting (SC) phase transition, with a transition temperature T_{c} of 68 (-5/+2) K and a SC gap of Δ(0)=20.2±1.5 meV. The obtained electron-...
متن کاملElectronic origin of high-temperature superconductivity in single-layer FeSe superconductor.
The recent discovery of high-temperature superconductivity in iron-based compounds has attracted much attention. How to further increase the superconducting transition temperature (T(c)) and how to understand the superconductivity mechanism are two prominent issues facing the current study of iron-based superconductors. The latest report of high-T(c) superconductivity in a single-layer FeSe is ...
متن کاملEnhanced superconductivity accompanying a Lifshitz transition in electron-doped FeSe monolayer
The origin of enhanced superconductivity over 50 K in the recently discovered FeSe monolayer films grown on SrTiO3 (STO), as compared to 8 K in bulk FeSe, is intensely debated. As with the ferrochalcogenides AxFe2-ySe2 and potassium-doped FeSe, which also have a relatively high-superconducting critical temperature (Tc), the Fermi surface (FS) of the FeSe/STO monolayer films is free of hole-like...
متن کاملInterface high-temperature superconductivity
Cuprate high-temperature superconductors consist of two quasi-two-dimensional (2D) substructures: CuO2 superconducting layers and charge reservoir layers. The superconductivity is realized by charge transfer from the charge reservoir layers into the superconducting layers without chemical dopants and defects being introduced into the latter, similar to modulationdoping in the semiconductor supe...
