Highly anisotropic gap function in borocarbide superconductor LuNi(2)B(2)C.
The thermal conductivity of borocarbide superconductor LuNi(2)B(2)C was measured down to 70 mK (T(c)/200) in a magnetic field perpendicular to the heat current from H = 0 to above H(c2) = 7 T. As soon as vortices enter the sample, the conduction at T-->0 grows rapidly, showing unambiguously that delocalized quasiparticles are present at the lowest energies. The field dependence is very similar ...

translation as a comunicative process is always said to be associated with various aspects of meaning loss or gain. subtitling as a mode of translating, due to special discoursal and textual conditions imposed upon it, is believed to be an obvious case of this loss or gain. presenting the spoken sound track of a film in writing and synchronizing the perception of this text by the viewers with...
15 صفحه اولGauge Unification in Highly Anisotropic String Compactifications
It is well-known that heterotic string compactifications have, in spite of their conceptual simplicity and aesthetic appeal, a serious problem with precision gauge coupling unification in the perturbative regime of string theory. Using both a duality-based and a field-theoretic definition of the boundary of the perturbative regime, we reevaluate the situation in a quantitative manner. We conclu...
متن کاملHighly Anisotropic Dirac Fermions in Square Graphynes.
We predict a family of 2D carbon (C) allotropes, square graphynes (S-graphynes) that exhibit highly anisotropic Dirac fermions, using first-principle calculations within density functional theory. They have a square unit-cell containing two sizes of square C rings. The equal-energy contour of their 3D band structure shows a crescent shape, and the Dirac crescent has varying Fermi velocities fro...
متن کاملAnisotropic effects in highly scattering media.
In this paper, we study anisotropic scattering and light propagation models applicable to diffuse optical tomography. We propose a model for anisotropic scattering in the radiative transfer framework and derive the corresponding anisotropic diffusion model. To verify the anisotropic diffusion model, we consider the case of a simple anisotropic scattering model also presentable within the diffus...
