چکیده
It is a great challenge to develop highly active oxygen evolution reaction (OER) electrocatalysts with superior durability. In this study, NiFe layered double hydroxide-decorated phosphide (NiFe LDH@CoP/NiP3) was constructed display satisfactory OER activity and good stability for water splitting in alkaline media. At an overpotential of 300 mV, LDH@CoP/NiP3 achieved current density 82 mA cm−2 the OER, which 9.1 2.3 times that CoP/NiP3 LDH, respectively. Moreover, reconstruction behavior, during oxyhydroxides formed, studied by combination X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman scanning electron microscopy. A synergistic effect between LDH also observed hydrogen reaction. Furthermore, when acted as both cathode anode overall splitting, high 100 maintained more than 275 h. addition, under Xe light irradiation, solar efficiency 9.89% solar-driven splitting. This work presents coupling different compositions, can provide reference designing bifunctional electrocatalysts.

Reaching the goal of economical photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting will likely require the combination of efficient solar absorbers with high activity electrocatalysts for the hydrogen and oxygen evolution reactions (HER and OER). Toward this goal, we synthesized an amorphous FeOOH (a-FeOOH) phase that has not previously been studied as an OER catalyst. The a-FeOOH films show activity c...
