چکیده
Background: Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a pattern of injury and it has five histological subtypes with varying prognosis therapeutic response. Our aim was to study the primary FSGS in our population along their clinicopathological characteristics. Methods: This 2-year retrospective, single centre cohort, observational study. All adult patients were identified. Results: There 51 FSGS. The mean age 37.2±15.3 years overall male dominance. clinical presentations nephrotic syndrome (88.2%), proteinuria hematuria (11.7%), hypertension (47.05%) renal insufficiency (60%). FSGS-NOS seen 26 patients, tip variant 11, perihilar 6, cellular 6 collapsing 2 patients. significantly less than others (20.5±9.1 vs years). Massive higher rest variants had least degree interstitial fibrosis tubular atrophy. Conclusions: which shows variations. Although most commonly affects males, show female preponderance. mostly features chronicity variant. Larger studies are required for differences treatment protocols different variants.

Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis.
Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a leading cause of kidney disease worldwide. The presumed etiology of primary FSGS is a plasma factor with responsiveness to immunosuppressive therapy and a risk of recurrence after kidney transplant-important disease characteristics. In contrast, adaptive FSGS is associated with excessive nephron workload due to increased body size, reduced nephron ...
متن کاملIdiopathic focal segmental glomerulosclerosis.
Idiopathic focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) is a primary glomerular disease that essentially represents a form of chronic, progressive renal fibrosis for which there is no discernible cause. Often presenting with or eventually manifesting the nephrotic syndrome, this disease is increasing in incidence in both children and adults. Therapy continues to be a challenge, although some patie...

Background and objectives: Treatment with IFN is rarely associated with nephrotic syndrome and renal biopsy findings of minimal-change disease or FSGS. Design, setting, participants, & measurements: We report 11 cases of collapsing FSGS that developed during treatment with IFN and improved after discontinuation of therapy. Results: The cohort consists of seven women and four men with a mean age...

Focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) represents the most common primary glomerular disease responsible for the development of end-stage renal disease (ESRD) in the United States (US). The disease progresses from podocyte injury to chronic kidney disease (CKD), ultimately leading to total nephron degeneration. Extensive basic science research has been conducted to unwind the mechanisms of F...
