چکیده

Background: NHL are heterogeneous group of hematolymphoid malignancy occurring in nodal and extra sites. Extra lymphoma (ENL) is distinct from lymphomas due to varied anatomical location, morphological diversity.
Methods: A retrospective observational study was conducted the department pathology January 2011 till December 2019. Clinical details other investigations were recorded. Gross features noted. Slides reviewed microscopically blocks subjected IHC for further typing cases selected as per Dawson et al criteria.
Result: During period, ENL constituted 25 (29.4%) 85 all NHL. Age range 05 63 years with a mean age 42.5 years. Male female ratio 2.2 :1.Head neck most common site ENHL constituting 19 cases(76%), next commonest location GIT 3 (12%). We had one each case testis, breast spine (4% each). On IHC, 92% (23 cases) exhibited B cell phenotype remaining 08 % (02 T phenotype.
Conclusion: Lymphomas sites rare but has propensity occur any anatomic site. Hence differential be considered Histology enables differentiate poorly differentiated carcinoma treatment modalities prognosis varies.

Histomorphological and Immunohistochemical Analysis of Pleural Neoplasms

Background & objective:Primary pleural neoplasms are rare entities compared with the pleural involvement by metastatic carcinoma. The current study aimed at investigating the complete spectrum of pleural neoplasms and differentiating between them with the aid of immunohistochemistry (IHC). Methods: Consecutive pleu...

Prognostic value of whole-body SUVmax of nodal and extra-nodal lesions detected by 18F-FDG PET/CT in extra-nodal NK/T-cell lymphoma

We analyzed data from 54 newly-diagnosed persons with extra-nodal natural killer/T-cell (NK/T) lymphoma, who had a pretreatment 18F-FDG PET/CT study, to determine whether the sum of SUVmax of all the nodal and extra-nodal lesions predicted progression-free survival (PFS) and/or overall survival (OS). Three models (WB1SUVmax, WB2SUVmax, WB3SUVmax) based on the basis of the sum of SUVmax of the w...

Primary extra-nodal indolent B-cell lymphoma (small lymphocytic lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic leukemia) of retroperitoneum

Primary retroperitoneal malignant lymphoma is rare, and primary retroperitoneal indolent B-cell lymphoma has not been reported. A 64-year-old woman presented anuria. Imaging techniques showed large retroperitoneal mass, and biopsies from it revealed non-Hodgkin indolent B-cell lymphoma (small lymphocytic lymphoma/chronic lymphocytic lymphoma). The tumor appeared retroperitoneal primary and extr...

The Histomorphological and Immunohistochemical Diagnosis of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Hepatocellular carcinoma is one of the most common malignancies worldwide, and its incidence is growing in association with viral and nonviral chronic liver diseases (Sherman M, 2010). Hepatocellular carcinoma is a lethal cancer, and improved survival relies on the detection of early tumors smaller then 2 cm, which are less likely to have dissemination (Di Tommaso, 2011). The diagnosis of hepat...

Anorectal Malformations: Histomorphological and Immunohistochemical Evaluation of Neuronal Dysfunction

OBJECTIVE The patients with anorectal malformations (ARM) have been identified with specific and non-specific pathological changes. The present study was conducted with the aim to study histomorphological changes and various immunohistochemical (IHC) markers (calretinin, S-100, CD117) in intestinal wall specimens to assess neuronal dysfunction in ARM patients. MATERIAL AND METHODS Thirty chil...
