چکیده

Guidelines for a comprehensive rehabilitation programme patellofemoral pain (PFP) have been developed by international experts. The aim of this study was to analyse the effect such rehabilitative exercise on pain, function, kinesiophobia, running biomechanics, quadriceps strength and muscle inhibition in individuals with PFP. Observational study. Clinical environment. Twenty-seven participants Symptoms [numeric rating scale (NPRS)and subscale Knee Injury Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS)], function measured using KUJALA KOOS, kinesiophobia Tampa scale, three-dimensional biomechanical data, isometric, concentric eccentric arthrogenic (AMI) were acquired before after six-week programme. Although did not significantly improve all patients pain-free (NPRS: p = 0.074). Function, AMI improved (KUJALA: 0.001, KOOS: 0.0001, Tampa: 0.017, AMI: 0.018). Running biomechanics during stance phase change intervention. Quadriceps different (isometric: 0.992, concentric: 0.075, eccentric: 0.351). results demonstrate that current recommendations can reduce There is need reconsideration guidelines stronger
