How to Make a Smartphone-Based App for Agricultural Advice Attractive: Insights from a Choice Experiment in Mexico

چکیده
Mobile phone apps can be a cost-effective way to provide decision support farmers, and they the collection of agricultural data. The digitisation systems, efforts close digital divide include smallholders, make data ownership privacy issues more relevant than ever before. In Central South American countries, smallholders’ preferences regarding licenses sharing have largely been ignored, little attention has paid potential nonfinancial incentives increase uptake solutions participation by farmers. To investigate for smallholder farmers potentially use an advisory app in which share their data, Discrete Choice Experiment was designed. Based on survey 392 Mexico, attributes related its usage were revealed using conditional logit (CL) model. explore heterogeneity, groups profiles explored through latent class (LC) CL model results revealed, example, farmers’ positive preference receive at first access training, while negative found with private actors. LC identified three classes differ such as degree sharing. Furthermore, farmer’s connectedness innovation hub one significant variables membership function. main contribution study is that it shows importance influence farmer preferences.

Understanding the dynamics of productivity shocks is instrumental if we are to identify the sources of economic growth. This paper, investigates dynamic effects of positives productivity shocks to agricultural subsectors during the period from 1991-2015, by disaggregating agricultural sector in Iran into four key subsectors (crops, livestock, fishing and forestry) through an estimated DSGE mode...
متن کاملA Simulation-Optimization Model For Capacity Coordination In Make To Stock/Make To Order Production Environments
Capacity coordination, as the tactical level of hierarchical production planning in hybrid MTS/MTO systems, includes numerous important decisions. In this paper, two of these decisions i.e. finding the best strategy for the acceptance/rejection of incoming orders and determining orders’ due dates – are investigated. Also a simulation model is proposed to evaluate the efficiency of the presented...

abstract type-ii fuzzy logic has shown its superiority over traditional fuzzy logic when dealing with uncertainty. type-ii fuzzy logic controllers are however newer and more promising approaches that have been recently applied to various fields due to their significant contribution especially when the noise (as an important instance of uncertainty) emerges. during the design of type- i fuz...

Consumers’ decisions to spend money on tourism occur in the context of the other potential uses of their resources and corresponding values or utilities. While many studies have examined the demand for travel and tourism there is no known study that reveals how individuals and households make tradeoffs when allocating their spending between various potential categories of discretionary expendit...
