Ideal Spin Hydrodynamics from the Wigner Function Approach

چکیده

Based on the Wigner function in local equilibrium, we derive hydrodynamical quantities for a system of polarized spin-1/2 particles: particle number current density, energy-momentum tensor, spin and dipole moment tensor. Comparing with ideal hydrodynamics without spin, additional terms at first second order Knudsen $\text{Kn}$ average polarization $\chi_s$ have been derived. The can be expressed matrix-valued distributions, whose equilibrium forms are characterized by thermodynamical parameters quantum statistics. equations motions these derived conservation laws leading next-to-leading $\chi_s$.

Toroidal bubbles with circulation in ideal hydrodynamics: a variational approach.

Incompressible, inviscid, irrotational, unsteady flows with circulation Gamma around a distorted toroidal bubble are considered. A general variational principle that determines the evolution of the bubble shape is formulated. For a two-dimensional (2D) cavity with a constant area A, exact pseudodifferential equations of motion are derived, based on variables that determine a conformal mapping o...

Wigner function approach to nano device simulation

Coherent transport in mesoscopic devices is well described by the Schrödinger equation supplemented by open boundary conditions. When electronic devices are operated at room temperature, however, a realistic transport model needs to include carrier scattering. In this work, the kinetic equation for the Wigner function is employed as a model for dissipative quantum transport. Carrier scattering ...

Effective Field Theory of ideal-fluid Hydrodynamics

Starting from a standard description of an ideal, isentropic fluid, we derive the effective theory governing a gapless non-relativistic mode—the sound mode. The theory, which is dictated by the requirement of Galilei invariance, entails the entire set of hydrodynamic equations. The gaplessness of the sound mode is explained by identifying it as the Goldstone mode associated with the spontaneous...

Simple Waves in Ideal Radiation Hydrodynamics

In the dynamic diffusion limit of radiation hydrodynamics, advection dominates diffusion; the latter primarily affects small scales and has negligible impact on the large scale flow. The radiation can thus be accurately regarded as an ideal fluid, i.e., radiative diffusion can be neglected along with other forms of dissipation. This viewpoint is applied here to an analysis of simple waves in an...
