Identification of antioxidant bioactive compounds as potential functional food ingredient from kebar grass (Biophytum petersianum) by metabolomic approach

Kebar grass (Biophytum petersianum) is traditionally believed as a food ingredient to increase the health of reproductive. The specific bioactive compounds with antioxidant effect in this plant have not been reported before. objective research was identify source functional ingredients (KG) which activity by using metabolomic approach. Samples chemical profile (extract and fraction) used HPLC, followed analysis OPLS. Chosen samples were isolated TLC then identified UHPLC-MS/MS. Specific from chromatogram putative identification MZmine referring online databases. result obtained ethyl acetate fraction (FEA) sample that most contributed activity. FEA showed ten are thought contribute agents. Two caffeic acid cassiaoccidentalin A, while other eight identified. finding A KG novel can be marker for petersianum species Biophytum genus agents improve reproductive health.
