چکیده

Citrobacter freundii is a zoonotic pathogen that causes skin injuries and high mortality rates in fish. This study aims to determine the presence of C. antibiotic susceptibility 50 goldfish (Carassius auratus) wounds with local bleeding between ages 8–18 months three regions (A, B, C) located West Turkey. (22/50; 44%) strains were isolated from wound swab samples by phenotypic genotypic methods. isolates positive for H2S, mannitol, indole, negative gas formation urea. All showed 96% similarity strain BAO2749 according Sanger sequence method. Isolates also resistant ampicillin at 57.09% susceptible cefoperazone sulfamethoxazole-trimethoprim 100%. Statistical analyses evaluated confidence interval 95%. A p value < 0.05 was considered statistically significant. In conclusion, can play significant role pathophysiology infections auratus). It cause commercial losses businesses. For this reason, it will be beneficial control pathogenicity aquarium fish prophylactic applications improve product quality treat diseases ornamental farming.

Latent inhibition experiments with goldfish (Carassius auratus).

Evidence of latent inhibition was sought in a series of experiments with goldfish. In Experiment 1, goldfish were given nonreinforced preexposure to a color that subsequently predicted shock in an activity conditioning situation; their performance did not differ from that of control animals preexposed to a markedly different color. In Experiment 2, a group of goldfish given nonreinforced preexp...

Biochemical and behavioral effects of carbofuran in goldfish (Carassius auratus).

The effects of concentration (5, 50, and 500 microg/L) and duration (24, 48 h) of exposure to carbofuran, a carbamate insecticide, were assessed on brain catecholamine (norepinephrine [NE] and dopamine), plasma glucose, and hepatic glycogen contents and behavioral activities of goldfish (Carassius auratus). After 24 h of exposure to 50 and 500 microg/L, the level of NE was increased in the olfa...

Determination of the gut retention of plastic microbeads and microfibers in goldfish (Carassius auratus).

Microplastics are ubiquitous pollutants in aquatic habitats and commonly found in the gut contents of fish yet relatively little is known about the retention of these particles by fish. In this study, goldfish were fed a commercial fish food pellet amended with 50 particles of one of two microplastics types, microbeads and microfibers. Microbeads were obtained from a commercial facial cleanser ...
