چکیده

Electromagnetic non-destructive controls are performed daily by steel manufacturers and user companies. Many methods exist, including Eddy Current Testing (ECT), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI), Incremental Permeability (MIP), Barkhausen noise (MBN) … In this domain, progresses constant, however there limitations accurate simulation tools able to improve the efficiency still expected. Most of steels ferromagnetic characterized a strong nonlinear hysteretic magnetic behavior. A precise taken into account hysteresis is mandatory in development useful tools. The standard characterization imposes restrictive conditions (geometrical, electrical …) most Non-Destructive (NDT) industrial end-users face difficulties obtain these inevitable experimental results. manuscript, we describe an alternative method adjust parameters based on results coming from classic NDT equipment. acquisition flat coil impedance ECT configuration under superimposition quasi-static excitation (MPI equipment) plot tested specimen MIP signature. Dodd & Deeds (D&D) analytical solution for used return corresponding permeability. An optimization process modified Jiles-Atherton (J-A) model run extract suitable combination parameters. Finally, good comparison with B(H) worth as validation method.

a novel ultrasonic non-destructive testing method using system identification techniques

one of the challenges in non-destructive testing schemes using the ultrasound pulse-echo technique is to identify those defects whose sizes are less than or equal to the detection resolution that is dependent on the width of the ultrasound pulse. existing methods also require a reference specimen of the same defective material, which may not be available in some cases. we present a new method f...

Non-Destructive Testing

This book consists of a collection of 27 articles dealing with the subject of probabilistic engineering mechanics with special emphasis on the ensuing computational issues. The book has two parts. The first part is meant as a tutorial on the basic aspects of probabilistic mechanics, whereas the second part is an overview of some of the applications that rely on probabilistic concepts for their ...

Measurement and Modelling of the Rubber Resilience based on Ultrasonic Non-destructive Testing in Tires

In tire industry, it is very crucial to evaluate physical and mechanical properties of the rubber which is used for production of the tire, to ensure the quality of the final product. Resilience is an important property of a rubber, which cannot be evaluated through direct measurement in production cycle in this industry. Therefore, non-destructive ultrasonic testing, which has been used in man...

The Hellenic Society of Non-destructive Testing

The liquid penetrant testing, and its capillary variety, and control of airtightness, are based on the filling by the liquid defectoscopic substances of capillaries and capillary-porous bodies. Physicomechanical interaction on the boundary liquid solid body influences seriously the eventual result of control. For the first time we investigated phenomena, as interaction in the capillary of two c...
