چکیده
Autoignition delay times of ammonia/dimethyl ether (NH3/DME) mixtures were measured in a rapid compression machine with DME fractions 0, 2 and 5 100% the fuel. The measurements performed at equivalence ratios φ=0.5, 1.0 2.0 pressures range 10–70 bar; depending on fuel composition, temperatures after varied from 610 K to 1180 K. Admixture is seen have dramatic effect ignition time, effectively shifting curves vs. temperature lower temperatures, up ~250 compared pure ammonia. Two-stage observed φ=1.0 2% 5% fuel, despite pressure being higher than that which shows two-stage ignition. At reproducible pre-ignition rise for both fractions, not components. A novel NH3/DME mechanism was developed, including modifications NH3 subset addition NH2+CH3OCH3 reaction, rate coefficients calculated ab initio theory. Simulations faithfully reproduce rise. While also exhibits mixtures, qualitative quantitative improvement recommended. overall ammonia/DME are predicted well, generally within 50% experimental values, although reduced performance ammonia φ=2.0. VLA observation of dMe stars
We present new VLA radio observations of a sample of dMe stars in X, U, K, and Q bands (from 8.4 to 43 GHz) obtained during an observing campaign in 1996 April-June. The aim of the project was to determine the spectral energy distributions of late-type dwarf flare stars to investigate the possible existence of an inversion of the spectrum slope at frequencies higher than 8 GHz. We also tried to...
متن کاملGALEX high time-resolution ultraviolet observations of dMe flare events
Aims. We present near ultraviolet (NUV:1750 2800Å) and far ultraviolet (FUV: 1350 1750Å) light-curves for flares on 4 nearby dMe-type stars (GJ 3685A, CR Dra, AF Psc and SDSS J084425.9+513830.5) observed with the GALEX satellite. Methods. Taking advantage of the time-tagged events recorded with the GALEX photon counting detectors, we present high temporal resolution (< 0.01 sec) analysis of the...
متن کاملSynthesis and characterization of NpCl4(DME)2 and PuCl4(DME)2 neutral transuranic An(IV) starting materials.
The 1,2-dimethoxyethane (DME) solvento adducts of Np(iv) and Pu(iv) tetrachloride have been prepared and isolated in good and moderate yields, respectively, along with single-crystal structural determinations. These neutral molecules are expected to provide alternative synthetic pathways in the pursuit of non-aqueous and organometallic complexes.
متن کاملEffects of Buffer Gas Composition on Autoignition of Dimethyl Ether
Experimental and numerical studies are conducted on the thermal, chemical and dilution effects of buffer gas composition on autoignition of dimethyl ether (DME). The buffer gases considered are nitrogen (N2), a mixture of N2 and argon (Ar) at a mole ratio of 50%/50% and a mixture of Ar and carbon dioxide (CO2) at a mole ratio of 61.2%/38.8%. Experiments are performed using a rapid compression m...
