Imaging Rough Paper to Evaluate Methods for Soot Removal

Abstract: Here, we use a variety of microscopic imaging techniques, including scanning electron microscopy, 3D visible light and portable microscopy to capture the topography rough paper. Paper coated with model soot was cleaned either firm vinyl eraser or softer, putty-like kneaded reimaged characterize disposition remaining soot. Although both methods remove from upper-most surface paper, only can conform complex interstices between paper fibers.
