چکیده

Abstract Background Limbs pneumatic compression during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for cardiac arrest patient were rarely reported. Purpose To evaluate the effect of this therapy on patients arrest. Methods A randomized, controlled and trial, a total 62 elderly (75.8±8.3 yrs) included randomized to “CPR group” (n=31) + Pneumatic Compression (n=31). Each individual in CPR group received standard CPR. In addition CPR, all “Pneumatic accepted intermittent (IPC) by Air Therapy System, which digital six-tiered rippling full-body pressure (0.45–0.6 kg/cm2) 1 minute interval every 5 minutes. Results Compared with group, significant improvements output (CO) survival found (Figure 1). Patients had lower incidence (19.4% vs. 45.2%, p=0.03) acute kidney injury (AKI) than that group. Besides, occurrence hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) was observed 2). There no myonecrosis limbs caused compression. Conclusions Intermittent maybe could improve blood flow crucial organs (e.g. brain) increase patients, is superior strategy alone. Funding Acknowledgement Type funding sources: Public hospital(s). Active compression-decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) versus standard CPR for cardiac arrest patients: a meta-analysis.

BACKGROUND Active compression-decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation (ACDCPR) has been popular in the treatment of patients with cardiac arrest (CA). However, the effect of ACD-CPR versus conventional standard CPR (S-CRP) is contriversial. This study was to analyze the efficacy and safety of ACD-CPR versus S-CRP in treating CA patients. METHODS Randomized or quasi-randomized controlled t...

A Randomized Controlled Trial of Compression Rates during Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation

UNLABELLED The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) with 120 compressions per minute (CPM) to CPR with 100 CPM in patients with non-traumatic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. We randomly assigned patients with non-traumatic out-of-hospital cardiac arrest into two groups upon arrival to the emergency department (ED). The patients received manu...

The Aassociation between Pre-Cardiac Arrest Comorbidity and Unsuccessful Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation in Patients with Cardiac Arrest

Background and Objective: Patients suffering from cardiac arrest (CA) have poor prognosis and survival. The association of pre-arrest comorbidity with unsuccessful resuscitation in patients with CA is far from clear. The aim of the present study was to investigate the association between pre-existing comorbidity and unsuccessful resuscitation following CA in Iranian patients. Materials and Met...

Inspiratory impedance during active compression-decompression cardiopulmonary resuscitation: a randomized evaluation in patients in cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND Blood pressure is severely reduced in patients in cardiac arrest receiving standard cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Although active compression-decompression (ACD) CPR improves acute hemodynamic parameters, arterial pressures remain suboptimal with this technique. We performed ACD CPR in patients with a new inspiratory threshold valve (ITV) to determine whether lowering intratho...

Chest compression rates during cardiopulmonary resuscitation are suboptimal: a prospective study during in-hospital cardiac arrest.

BACKGROUND Recent data highlight a vital link between well-performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and survival after cardiac arrest; however, the quality of CPR as actually performed by trained healthcare providers is largely unknown. We sought to measure in-hospital chest compression rates and to determine compliance with published international guidelines. METHODS AND RESULTS We deve...
