Implementing bilinear interpolation with quantum images

A bilinear interpolation technique is proposed for flexible representations of quantum images (FRQIs). In this process, several modules were developed, including assignment, increment, and quarter modules, use in an circuit. The network structure these circuits, capable both up-sampling down-sampling FRQIs, was investigated as part the study. Additionally, method verified using a series simulation experiments which test samples enlarged reduced, comparison with nearest-neighbor interpolation. up-scaled produced higher quality than those interpolation, measured peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) structural similarity index (SSIM). Finally, extension FRQI model from square to rectangular shapes, algorithm used process FRQIs special arbitrary sizes.
