Implementing Smart City Technologies to Inspire Change in Consumer Energy Behaviour

One of the main challenges in smart city models is consumer behaviour, namely guiding efforts to promote optimal use energy dynamics developing cities, through lower consumption without impact on comfort level. This relates all vectors and can be done different means. The uptake stage metering information communication technologies (ICT) varies countries, creating need for tailored innovative approaches motivating behavioural change. paper presents work carried out within joint research project ITCity (an ICT platform sustainable ecosystem cities) between European Union Latin American Countries.
