Implicit attitudes matter for social judgments of others' preference, but do not make those judgments more or less accurate

Drawing from a large dataset of responses to implicit and explicit attitude measures social judgments others' preferences ( N = 97,176) across 95 distinct domains, this Registered Report utilized componential analysis judgment accuracy examine whether attitudes affected the judgment. I found evidence that population's were associated with true (but not explicit) attitudes, individuals projected their in addition projection when judging preferences. However, no stronger or weaker uniquely greater less These results provide generalizable matter greatly for nuanced ways.
