Improving the Energetic Efficiency of Biogas Plants Using Enzymatic Additives to Anaerobic Digestion

چکیده

This study was carried out to estimate the relevance of biological supplementation in improving economic efficiency anaerobic digestion (AD). Three kinds silages—maize, grass, and igniscum—were initially inoculated with digestate then supplemented one four vaccines containing different bacteria species (APD®, PPT®, JENOR®) or a yeast mold mixture (HAP®). In addition, each plant silage fermented without any additives (control A—maize silage, B—grass C—igniscum silage). The biodegradability process performed batch tests at mesophilic temperature (38 °C). To compare energetic AD, kinetics, biogas, methane production were analyzed. We found that applied measures improved biogas case maize igniscum (7–62% higher than controls), but decreased yield AD when grass (2–34% lower controls). greatest increase (by 79%) observed digested PPT® pretreatment, 427 Nm3?Mg?1 VS (volatile solids).

assessment of the efficiency of s.p.g.c refineries using network dea

data envelopment analysis (dea) is a powerful tool for measuring relative efficiency of organizational units referred to as decision making units (dmus). in most cases dmus have network structures with internal linking activities. traditional dea models, however, consider dmus as black boxes with no regard to their linking activities and therefore do not provide decision makers with the reasons...

2. Production of Biogas by Anaerobic Digestion

Anaerobic digestion is a natural process in which bacteria convert organic materials into biogas. It occurs in marshes and wetlands, and in the digestive tract of ruminants. The bacteria are also active in landfills where they are the principal process degrading landfilled food wastes and other biomass. Biogas can be collected and used as a potential energy resource. The process occurs in an an...

Foam formation in biogas plants caused by anaerobic digestion of sugar beet.

The use of sugar beet in anaerobic digestion (AD) during biogas production can lead to process upsets such as excessive foaming in fermenters. In the present study, foam formation in sugar beet-fed digestates was studied in foaming tests. The increasing disintegration grade of sugar beet was observed to have a promoting effect on foaming in the digestate but did not affect the biogas yield. Che...

Modeling and Removal of Hydrogen Sulfide from Biogas Produced by Anaerobic Digestion

Anaerobic digestion can be used to convert organic waste into energy not only to provide renewable energy, but also reduce greenhouse gases. During the anaerobic digestion process, biogas is produced, which can be used for heating and electricity generation. The produced biogas contains methane and some other gases, the most destructive of which is hydrogen sulfide gas. If hydrogen sulfide gas ...
