INCREASING MATERNAL KNOWLEDGE IN PREVENTING STUNTING THROUGH COMMUNITY-BASED NUTRITION EDUCATION

Stunting is a disorder of growth and development children due to chronic malnutrition recurrent infections, which characterized by their length or height being below the standards set minister who organizes government affairs in health sector. The respondents this activity were mothers toddlers RW 02, RT 01, 03. sample was 42 toddler. purpose increase mothers' knowledge about feeding, especially fruits vegetables with balanced nutritional content for toddlers. method used Wilcoxon Test confidence level 95% α = 0.05. results discussion using test showed an maternal related stunting. There are 5 affected efforts change behavior better stunting prevention, namely socialization importance preventing stunting, nutritious food demos, posters processed fruit vegetable creations, distribution PMT (Supplementary Feeding).
