Indonesian EFL Undergraduate Students' Interest Towards Metacognitive Strategy in Reading Academic Comprehension

<p><em>Academic reading comprehension is affected by many factors. This research was focused on understanding academic from the perspectives of interest and metacognitive strategy. aimed to find a correlation between students’ interests strategy (before during comprehension). The conducted at Sanata Dharma University, Yogyakarta. There were 27 students who participated in this research. survey design using correlational study applied analyze data survey-open close-ended questionnaires. Pearson coefficient used exposing correctional status. result current showed that there positive moderate comprehension. Supported an open-ended interpretation, found both are correlated especially terms self-motivation self-regulation, mood, employment would have great theoretical practical contribution English language department, for teachers </em></p>
