چکیده

Objective: This study aimed to compare the effect of sodium hypochlorite (NaOCl), chlorhexidine (CHX), ethylene daimine tetra acetic acid (EDTA) and etidronic (HEBP) solutions their combinations on a push-out bond strength fiber posts root canal dentin microhardness. Material Methods: Sixty human maxillary central incisors were sectioned below cementoenamel junction, roots endodontically treated divided into 6 groups (n=10) according final irrigation protocol: (1) Distilled water, (2) CHX, (3) HEBP-NaOCl combination, (4) HEBP, (5) 2.5 % NaOCl, (6) 17% EDTA. The then cemented with self-etching resin cement. Bonded specimens cut (1-mm-thick), first slice coronal 3rd was used for microhardness analysis, other slices test. data statistically analyzed by using Shapiro-Wilk, Oneway ANOVA, Games-Howell Results: lowest observed in NaOCl (p<0.05). EDTA resulted less reduction as compared showed significantly higher mean cervical thirds than Conclusion: With regard post dentin, increased groups. have lower dentin. Compared increases does not make significant difference strength. Therefore, it is recommended use HEBP alone.

Influence of root dentin treatment on the push-out bond strength of fibre-reinforced posts

This study evaluates the influence of root dentin treatment with NaOCl alone and combined with EDTA, with and without ultrasound activation, on the push-out bond strength (BS) of fiber-reinforced posts in weakened roots, cemented with RelyX or Panavia. The root canals of 42 maxillary canines were instrumented with Reciproc and 2.5% NaOCl. In the coronal 12mm of all canals, experimental weakenin...

Bond strength of fiber-reinforced posts to deproteinized root canal dentin.

AIM This study evaluated the push-out bond strength of cemented fiber posts after deproteinization of root canal dentin walls with NaOCl. The effect of the application of an antioxidant solution (sodium ascorbate) was also evaluated. MATERIALS AND METHODS A three-step etch-and-rinse (Scotch-bond - 3M Espe) and a one-step self-etching adhesive (Xeno III - Dentsply Caulk) were evaluated. Thirty...

Effect of Intracanal Post Space Treatments on Push-Out Bond Strength of Fiber Posts to Root Dentin

OBJECTIVES The main disadvantage of fiber posts is their low bond strength to root canal wall. The aim of the present study was to assess the effect of different root canal post space treatments on push-out bond strength of fiber posts to root canal dentin. MATERIALS AND METHODS After post space preparation in 40 endodontically treated human premolars, the teeth were randomly divided into fou...
