چکیده
Micro-mobility vehicles such as electric bicycles, or e-bikes, are becoming one of the essential transportation modes in metropolitan areas, and most deliveries large cities dependent on them. Due to e-bike’s popularity vulnerability, e-bike crash occurrence has become a major traffic safety problem many across world; finding important human factors affecting thus been an recent issue analysis. Since delivery riders key group users, since helmet use plays crucial role reducing severity crash, this study conducted city-wide online survey analyze usage 6,941 Shanghai, China. To determine in-depth mechanisms influencing occurrence, including direct indirect effects relevant factors, two mediator ordered logistic regression models were employed. The model was compared with traditional model, found be superior for modeling well factors. Results indicate that riders’ familiarity regulations (FTR) is extremely variable mediating between independent variables educational level age, crashes. Improving FTR can consequently increase decrease occurrence. Authorities apply these findings develop appropriate countermeasures, particularly legislation rider training, improve safety.

Injury Severity of Motorcycle Riders Involved in Traffic Crashes in Hunan, China: A Mixed Ordered Logit Approach
Issues related to motorcycle safety in China have not received enough research attention. As such, the causal relationship between injury outcomes of motorcycle crashes and potential risk factors remains unknown. This study intended to investigate the injury risk of motorcyclists involved in road traffic crashes in China. To account for the ordinal nature of response outcomes and unobserved het...
متن کاملIntrinsic motivation and psychological factors on wearing helmet among motorcyclists in Gorgan City, Iran, in 2016
Background: Motorcycles have a higher rate of fatality than cars within the same distance travelled. Head injuries are the main causes of death in motorcycle crashes. The objective of this study is to investigate intrinsic motivation and psychological factors on use of a helmet among motorcyclists in Gorgan City, Iran, in 2016. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional survey was conducted a...
متن کاملOn Calibration and Application of Logit-Based Stochastic Traffic Assignment Models
There is a growing recognition that discrete choice models are capable of providing a more realistic picture of route choice behavior. In particular, influential factors other than travel time that are found to affect the choice of route trigger the application of random utility models in the route choice literature. This paper focuses on path-based, logit-type stochastic route choice models, i...

متن کاملInvestigating the Effects of Underreporting of Crash Data on Three Commonly Used Traffic Crash Severity Models: Multinomial Logit, Ordered Probit and Mixed Logit Models
Although a lot of work has been devoted to developing crash severity models to predict the probabilities of crashes for different severity levels, very few studies have considered the underreporting issue in the modeling process. Inferences about a population of interest will be biased if crash data are treated as a random sample coming from the population without considering the different unre...
