Influence of Hold Time on Dwell Fatigue Behavior in IMI834 Disc Forging

نویسندگان

چکیده

The potential cold dwell fatigue failure in the titanium components of gas turbine engines is still a troublesome industrial issue. Based on small-scale laboratory specimens tangentially extracted from disc forging IMI834, influences period and microstructural conditions sensitivity have been investigated. fracture features deformation mechanisms were characterized using SEM, XCT TEM. EBSD was utilized to examine microtexture representative locations disc. results demonstrated that large differences IMI834 depended time crystal orientation distribution. A significant effect generated bimodal microstructure attributed intense planar slip relatively high intensity major texture component (5.95 times random level), where 120 s basically enough for reach saturation. For location with low sensitivity, extending hold would further increase debit strain accumulation, which manifested enhancing density. quantitative influence orientation, experimentally revealed, could be useful when assessing optimizing performance size parts.

Hold-time Effects on Low-cycle-fatigue Behavior of Hastelloy® X Superalloy at High Temperatures

Total strain-controlled low-cycle-fatigue tests with and without hold times were performed at temperatures ranging from 816°C to 982°C in a laboratory air on a nickel-based superalloy, HASTELLOY X. The influence of hold times on the cyclicstress response and fatigue life was studied. At the temperatures considered, the alloy exhibited initial cyclic hardening, followed by a saturated cyclic-str...

critical period effects in foreign language learning:the influence of maturational state on the acquisition of reading, writing, and grammar in english as a foreign language

since the 1960s the age effects on learning both first and second language have been explored by many linguists and applied linguists (e.g lennerberg, 1967; schachter, 1996; long, 1990) and the existence of critical period for language acquisition was found to be a common ground of all these studies. in spite of some common findings, some issues about the impacts of age on acquiring a second or...

Prediction of forging force and barreling behavior in isothermal hot forging of AlCuMgPb aluminum alloy using artificial neural network

In the present investigation, an artificial neural network (ANN) model is developed to predict the isothermal hot forging behavior of AlCuMgPb aluminum alloy. The inputs of the ANN are deformation temperature, frictional factor, ram velocity and displacement whereas the forging force, barreling parameter and final shape are considered as the output variable. The developed feed-forward back-prop...

the influence of the neo-platonic concept of poetic imagination on wordsworth’s poetry

Effect of Hold Time on Low Cycle Fatigue Life of Micro Solder Joint

Effect of holding time and temperature on the fatigue life of micro Sn-Ag-Cu solder joint has been studied with waveform of triangle and trapezoid wave at 298K and 398K. Both the microstructural coarsening and the crack propagation occurred simultaneously and therefore the cyclic load decreased rapidly in the trapezoidal wave at 398K compared with the other conditions. Therefore, under the cond...
