چکیده
Abstract The purpose of this work was to show that the change in land use impacts quality free groundwater and therefore health population city Bafoussam. Land dominated by housing (about 42%) followed agricultural areas (33%) green space. socio-economic diagnosis guided survey showed 62.5% consumes CAMWATER water with malaria as dominant water-related disease. collection samples analysed colorimetric photometric assay has allowed us obtain a facies chloride sulphate–calcium–magnesium type. mapping potentially vulnerable pollution ArcGIS 10.8 software presents low-lying areas, downstream sites, close industries neighbourhoods strong urban disorder most retained actors diffuse Thus, increase agglomeration degrade city.

The Impact of Land Use/Land Cover Changes on Groundwater Resources Using Remote Sensing & GIS (Case Study: Khan-Mirza Plain)
Hydrological status and water table fluctuations are directly related to land use and/or land cover (LULC) changes in each area. In this research, the impact of LULC changes on groundwater quantity and quality of Khan-Mirza Plain, in the northern Karun watersheds, was investigated. For this purpose, Landsat 5, 7 and 8 satellite images and ETM and OLI sensors were employed to prepare the L...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effects of Drought and Land-use Changes on Quantity and Quality of Groundwater Resources: A Case Study of Darab Plain
Introduction: Drought is a natural hazardous phenomenon occurring in all climate types. However, it affects arid and semiarid regions more intensely than other areas. It also severely affects both the quantity and quality of water resources in arid zones. Moreover, land-use changes and urban and agricultural development also adversely influence water resources in these regions, especially groun...
متن کاملModelling of Land-use Changes in a West African Catchment
Land-cover and land-use changes are an important part of global change but determine as well livelihoods at local and regional level. The knowledge of change trajectories and possible future conditions is important for a sustainable development strategy. Further on, reliable scenarios with spatial explicit simulations are needed as planning tools for decision makers. This paper describes an exa...
متن کاملThe impacts of different land use changes on groundwater level using quantitative model WEAP (Case study: Chaharmahal Bakhtiari province, Iran)
Reduction of water resources limits the ability of farmers for food production and subsistence. Nowadays the quick growth of population has been the most important factor in the decline of renewable water. In many parts of Iran, including region of interest, the major factor in water resources decline was land use change, that may cause to ecological destruction and disruption. Sustainabl...
متن کاملassessment of the probable impacts of land use changes on water quality in shadeghan wetland using remotely sensed data
In this research, the evaluation of possible effects of land-use change on water quality in Shadegan wetland has been provided with the help of remote sensing data. The purpose of this research was to evaluate and compare user variations in 2000 and 2015 using Landsat satellite imagery (with ETM and OLI sensors) from the study area and processing them in the ERDAS software environment using the...
