Introduction of Jokes-Based Research Methods

Abstract Ethics scholars know about ethical transgressions in business mainly from journalists. Journalists report extreme leading to scandals, court cases and social or environmental disasters. The more moderate examples of unethical behaviour are known by insiders, but less outsiders. Business ethicists have rarely explored such common empirically, they lack own methods do so. This chapter introduces four research that use jokes on transgressions. first explains how critical insider can illustrate practices business, second stimulate conversation them open in-depth interviews, third be used as statements rated a survey fourth source for content analysis. introductory concludes with an outline the entire book its methods, showing their contributions ethics. aims at ethics sciences including Ph.D. M.Sc. students. Second, may also relevant practitioners like consultants, managers researchers who want better explore specific fields.
