Investigating the Impacts of Ionospheric Irregularities on Precise Point Positioning Over China and Its Mechanism

The impacts of ionospheric irregularities on precise point positioning (PPP) have been commonly noticed in the field ionosphere and application Global Navigation Satellite System. But few attentions paid to how deteriorate performance PPP. Aiming at exploring mechanism degradation PPP solutions during period irregularities, this paper investigates kinematic experiment uses GPS observation data sampled 30-s interval over China days 2014, 2015, 2017 covering some active space weather, for example, solar geomagnetic activities. results show that caused increased errors (decimeter- meter-level), enlarged phase residuals (decimeter-level), number detected cycle slips processing low latitude regions China. By proposing a novel strategy compares from 30 s-sampling 1s-sampling same station an “aligned” mode, we present direct evidence existence falsely by traditional cycle-slip detection threshold processing.
