چکیده
Abstract This study presents a coding scheme for design protocols that is derived from Triple Process Theory postulating the existence of three categories cognitive processes: spontaneous, deliberate, and metacognitive. We applied to think-aloud designers engaged in an open task. Results show all types occur during designing. The we propose has potential ground accounts empirical studies. explore relation between sessions outcomes shifts processes.

Using Process Algebra to Design Better Protocols
Protocols are mainly specified in natural languages, such as English, without presenting a formal specification or some sort of pseudo code. At first glance this seems to be an advantage: everybody can easily read and understand the specification, and hence, the protocol is easy to implement. However, looking at contemporary protocol developments more closely, it turns out that natural language...
متن کاملInvestigating software process in practice: A grounded theory perspective
This paper presents the results of a study of how software process and software process improvement (SPI) is applied in actual practice in the software industry using the indigenous Irish software product industry as a test-bed. The study used the grounded theory methodology to produce a theory, grounded in the field data, that explains how software processes are formed and evolve and when and ...
متن کاملProcess Design and Integration Theory
Over the past several decades a number of organizations have made significant progress in evolving highperformance production systems. Anecdotal observations of successful systems typically provide the basis for organizational initiatives that practitioners attempt to copy and transplant into other organizations, sometimes resulting in successful applications and sometime in expensive failures....
متن کاملDescription Theory and Approach about Space Syntax Methodology in Urban Design Process
Nowadays space is considered to be a net of connections between different areas. The questions how to delineate its character and how it is possible to objectively compare two spaces is a matter under consideration. This was the reason for creating new theories about the structure of space. Space syntax analysis (SSA) or simply Space Syntax defines a number of theories and research areas devo...
