Investigation of pool boiling heat transfer on hydrophilic-hydrophobic mixed surface with micro-pillars using LBM

Surface modification technology by controlling the surface wettability or applying micro/nano-structures to enhance boiling heat transfer performance has attracted a great deal of interest in recent years. Abundant experiments were performed investigate processes on modified surfaces, and lots experimental data as well reliable conclusions obtained. With advantages saving costs time, numerical method been new way bubble dynamics during pool heated surfaces. Pseudopotential LB model is capable simulating entire including nucleation, this successfully applied simulate both smooth surfaces hydrophilic-hydrophobic mixed with micro-pillars. However, simulations still rare, influence geometrical parameters pillar structures was unclear yet. Moreover, some existing literature inconsistent those others. Thus it's necessary carry out more researches solve these problems. In study, MRT pseudopotential coupled phase-change textured Under different wall superheats, micro-pillars compared hydrophilic without The enhancement mechanism revealed pillars, width number, investigated detail.
