Investigation of titanium nanoparticles-reinforced Asphalt Composites Using Rheological Tests

چکیده
Asphalt binder modification techniques are beneficial for the performance improvement of roads because they can be durable, present less permanent deformation, and provide longer fatigue life. The main agents involved in this process polymers, fillers, fibers, and, more recently, nanomaterials, which have presented technical economic feasibility. nanoparticles were added to base asphalt at a concentration 3% weight pure surface-modified states. This study aims analyze effect surface titanium dioxide using three different agents: oleic acid, benzyl alcohol, oleylamine. results indicated that with oleylamine improved interaction between particles binder, contributing increasing life resistance deformation delaying aging process. Furthermore, rheological tests incorporating into modified 55/75-E 50/70 has produced higher susceptibility cracks.

Mechanical and rheological properties of carbon nanotube-reinforced polyethylene composites
This paper investigates some mechanical and rheological properties of low density polyethylene (LDPE) composites reinforced by multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWNTs). It was found that the Young’s modulus and tensile strength of the composites can increase by 89% and 56%, respectively, when the nanotube loading reaches 10 wt%. The curving and coiling of MWNTs play an important role in the enhanc...

متن کاملUsing Titanium-Reinforced PTFE Membranes
Severe vertical ridge deficiency in the anterior maxilla represents one of the most challenging scenarios in bone regeneration. Under ideal circumstances, guided bone regeneration in combination with soft tissue management has shown predictable esthetic and functional outcomes. Success largely relies on primary wound closure during and after the surgical procedure. Surgical sites present differ...

Objective: To evaluate the rate of graft resorption in autogenous iliac bone grafting (IBG) and guided bone regeneration (GBR) in patients with atrophic maxillae. Material and methods: We performed a retrospective study involving patients requiring implant placement who underwent IBG or GBR. Volumetric changes of the graft sites were evaluated by imaging studies. The primary predictor and outco...
متن کاملLiquid Crystalline Network Composites Reinforced by Silica Nanoparticles
Liquid crystalline networks (LCNs) are a class of polymers, which are able to produce mechanical actuation in response to external stimuli. Recent creation of LCNs with exchangeable links (xLCNs) makes LCNs easy moldable. As the xLCNs need to be shaped at a high temperature, it is important to enhance their thermal and mechanical properties. In this paper, a series of xLCNs/SiO₂ composites cont...
