چکیده
Abstract The current work makes use of eight years electron density data observed by the Swarm constellation to study characteristics equatorial ionospheric single crest phenomenon recorded at altitudes these satellites. features crests have been investigated different and geomagnetic activity levels. Results showed that occurrence rate a was not significantly between lower higher satellite altitudes. relationship Kp index has shown dramatic enhancement high level activities. In addition, dramatically enhanced with strength both interplanetary electric field north-south magnetic field. Also, irrespective season, South Atlantic Anomaly (SAA) region always large events compared other longitudes. is larger during equinoxes than summer winter solstices. significant maximum phase solar cycle (F10.7 index) those over SSA region, suggests an alignment crests.

Ionospheric plasma density variations observed at Mars by MAVEN/LPW
We report on initial observations made by the Langmuir Probe and Waves relaxation sounding experiment on board the NASA Mars Atmosphere and Volatile EvolutioN (MAVEN) mission. These measurements yield the ionospheric thermal plasma density, and we use these data here for an initial survey of its variability. Studying orbit-to-orbit variations, we show that the relative variability of the ionosp...

Simultaneous observations at dierent altitudes of ionospheric backscatter in the eastward electrojet
A common feature of evening near-range ionospheric backscatter in the CUTLASS Iceland radar ®eld of view is two parallel, approximately L-shellaligned regions of westward ̄ow which are attributed to irregularities in the auroral eastward electrojet region of the ionosphere. These backscatter channels are separated by approximately 100±200 km in range. The orientation of the CUTLASS Iceland rada...
متن کاملLow-latitude ionospheric turbulence observed by Aureol-3 satellite
Using PSD (Power Spectral Density) data on electron density and electric field variations observed on board Aureol-3 satellite at low-to-mid-latitude ionosphere we analyze a scale distribution of the ionospheric turbulence in a form k , where k is the wave number and α is the spectral index. At first, high-resolution data in the near-equator region for several orbits have been processed. In thi...
