IoT-Enabled Smart Waste Management Systems for Smart Cities: A Systematic Review

With urbanization, rising income and consumption, the production of waste increases. One most important directions in field sustainable development is design implementation monitoring management systems for collection removal. Smart (SWM) involves example analytics data from sensors on smart garbage bins (SGBs), trucks urban infrastructure; planning optimization truck routes; etc. The purpose this paper to provide a comprehensive overview existing research systems, applications, approaches vis-à-vis processing solid SWM systems. To achieve objective, we performed systematic literature review. This study consists 173 primary studies selected analysis extraction 3,732 initially retrieved 5 databases.
