Is Teaching Technical Words a Problematic Issue for ESP Teachers in a Saudi Industrial College?

The literature written about technical words instruction is little compared to its equivalent vocabulary learning. This paper aims investigate the extent which English for Specific Purposes Teachers (ESPTs) think that teaching a problematic task them in Saudi Arabian industrial college called Yanbu Industrial College (YIC). It also explores reasons behind challenges they face words. To obtain goals of this study, six ESPTs at YIC from three different nationalities with majors, experience, and ages were interviewed understand their beliefs regarding existence problem challenge. interview type was semi-structured nature some prompt cards utilised gather data participants. study revealed don’t view as but rather challenge can cope with. Among main said faced doing job are lack proper subject knowledge, absence prior students’ enrollment needs analysis opportunities employ critical Vocabulary Teaching Strategies VTS employing reliable Delivery Vehicles VDVs. findings expected provide instructional implications such teachers collaboration words, ESP course designing, early students specialized training programs. Future scrutiny further our understanding neglected topic domain L2 highly recommended.
