چکیده
This article investigates algorithmic fashion design approaches in order to explore the ongoing digital transformations designership. The asks how automation of processes and collaboration with machines affect authorship professional boundaries designers. analyses two case studies, Finnish designer Matti Liimatainen Dutch ‘digital-only’ house Fabricant, demonstrate different ways combining designers’ expertise, creativity tacit knowledge programming and/or computer-generated content alter process. also uses Donna Haraway's metaphor ‘cyborg’ (1985) explain digitalisation process intertwines designers infrastructures. Two are identified: generative clothing development AI-aided sketching. It is argued that both involve characteristics computerisation/hominisation, re-professionalisation ‘cyborg 4.0’.

Fashion is a collective cultural phenomenon generated by the individual but linked to actions of a very large number of garment designers aiming to create distinctive but similar clothes. This paper outlines the mental processes, behavioural strategies and working patterns through which fashion and knitwear designers actively construct the contexts – their visual environments as well as memorie...

Two new pattern-matching algorithms based on the Boyer-Moore algorithm are presented. Their performance is compared to that of earlier relevant variants in terms of the number of character comparisons and the required running time by exhaustive simulation. Experimental results show the efficiency of both these two new algorithms. 1. I N T R O D U C T I O N Text-searching methods have been divid...
