Tradescantia pallida (Setcreasea purpurea) atau Adam Hawa ungu merupakan salah satu jenis tanaman hias. mengandung antosianin cyanidin. Senyawa ini tidak stabil terhadap pH sehingga akan berubah warna ketika nilai berubah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji karakter pigmen yang terkandung dalam daun adam hawa (DAHU) larutan 1-14 dan sampel. Pigmen DAHU diperoleh dengan mengektraksi segar etanol 95% grade medis. Diperoleh berwarna merah pekat, pink pada 1-2, 3-6, 7-8 Hijau 9-12 kuning 13-14. juga menunjukkan hasil jelas menguji dapat digunakan sebagai indikator menggantikan fenolftalin, kertas lakmus biru.
