Landslide detection and susceptibility mapping using geological and remote sensing data: A case study of Azad Kashmir, NW Sub-Himalayas

چکیده
Azad Kashmir has undergone sever landslide episodes in the past. The main reasons behind occurrence of landslides this area are heavy rainfall, weak geological strata, seismic zones and active faults. Several roads blockage due to is one major problem area, therefore, study carried out for susceptibility analysis along Kotli Trar Khel, Kashmir, NW Sub-Himalayas. Geographic information system (GIS) used interpret remote sensing, strata topographical data. Total ten anthropogenic physical factors (aspects, fault, lithology, drainage density, curvature, distance roads, landuse landcover, slope, elevation) were examined by Multi-criteria Decision Analysis (MCDA) technique. thematic layers all prepared preparation final map using a weighted overlay method (WOM). classified into four susceptible classes low, moderate, high very high. spatial result outcomes depicted that faults, slope gradient landcover may facilitate phenomena. results verified density analyses (LDA), receiver operator characteristics (ROC) under curve (AUC) with predictive accuracy 77 % rated as satisfactory many researchers.

Mapping Spatial Variability of Soil Salinity Using Remote Sensing Data and Geostatistical Analysis: A Case of Shadegan, Khuzestan
Extended abstract 1- Introduction Soil salinity is one of the most important desertification parameters in many parts of the world. Thus, preparing soil salinity maps in macro scales is necessary. Water and soil salinity as one of the contributing parameters in desertification, cause soil and vegetation degradation. Soil salinization represents many negative effects on the earth systems such ...

This research presents the results of the GIS-based statistical models for generation of landslide susceptibility mapping using geographic information system (GIS) and remote-sensing data for Cameron Highlands area in Malaysia. Ten factors including slope, aspect, soil, lithology, NDVI, land cover, distance to drainage, precipitation, distance to fault, and distance to road were extracted from ...
متن کاملLand cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing
Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

Subalpine ecosystems are highly fragile as compared to biological andenvironmental factors. Landslide is one of the ruinous upshots of this ecosystem. One of theimpressionable areas in the cause of natural factor is Masoleh watershed in western AlborzMt, (Iran). In order to landslide hazard zonation, landslide index and frequency ratio methodbased on twelve causative factors such as slope, slop...
