Picture Naming in Children With and Without Specific Language Impairment: An Error Analysis Study
Objectives: The lexical-level deficits are one of the hallmark limitations observed in early school-age children with specific language impairment. These problems are the predictors of reading problems and poor performance at school. Most studies in Persian-speaker children with specific language impairment have focused on syntax and morphology and the naming errors profile of these children ar...
متن کاملChurch: a language for generative models
Formal languages for probabilistic modeling enable re-use, modularity, and descriptive clarity, and can foster generic inference techniques. We introduce Church, a universal language for describing stochastic generative processes. Church is based on the Lisp model of lambda calculus, containing a pure Lisp as its deterministic subset. The semantics of Church is defined in terms of evaluation hi...
متن کامل[Time of pragmatic analysis in children with specific language impairment].
PURPOSE To verify whether the use of a shorter filmed sample influences the results of pragmatic assessment in children with language impairment. METHODS Data was obtained from videotaped samples and protocols for pragmatic analysis of 30 children between 3 and 6 years old. Each 15-minute sample (total moment) was analyzed and divided into three moments with five minutes each (initial, medial...
متن کاملInvocat A nondeterministic generative programming language
We present the design and implementation of a probabilistic, nondeterministic programming language called Invocat for defining and generating from context-free grammars. We define Invocat’s lexical, concrete, and abstract syntaxes as well as its operational semantics. We implement the language in Lua as a lexical analyzer, parser, and interpreter.
