Large eddy simulation of flow field in thermal vapor compressor

چکیده
In the low-temperature multi-effect evaporation (LT-MEE) desalination plant, improving performance of thermal vapor compressor (TVC) could reduce energy loss, and increase gained output ratio (GOR) consequently improve system economy efficiency. Implementing large eddy simulation (LES) as numerical method, a 3-D computational fluid dynamics model TVC is established to simulate flow field under various conditions. The effects motive steam pressure on field, vortex core, turbulent viscosity iso-surface are discussed, corresponding interior distribution obtained well. Q criterion normalized applied visualize cores iso-surfaces. distributions vortexes in different scales displayed, large-scale mainly distributed exit area nozzle, constant section mixing chamber diffuser. Additionally, primarily located along axis morphology while small-scale ones randomly near wall.
