چکیده

In this paper, the Pseudo shock structure in a convergent–long divergent duct is investigated using large eddy simulation on basis of Smagorinsky–Lilly, Wall-Adapting Local Eddy-Viscosity and Algebraic Wall-Modeled LES subgrid models. The first objective study to apply different models predict Lambda form shocks system, while ultimate aim obtain further control behavior. To achieve these goals, dynamic grid adaption hybrid initialization techniques are applied under 3D investigation reduce numerical errors computational costs. results compared existing experimental data it found that WMLES model more accurate predictions when other Subsequently, influences section length with constant ratio outlet throat area and, effects discontinuity wall temperature flow physics investigated. indicate compressible affected by varying parameters. Large eddy simulation of propane combustion in a planar trapped vortex combustor

Propane combustion in a trapped vortex combustor (TVC) is characterized via large eddy simulation coupled with filtered mass density function. A computational algorithm based on high order finite difference (FD) schemes, is employed to solve the Eulerian filtered compressible Navier-Stokes equations. In contrast, a Lagrangian Monte-Carlo solver based on the filtered mass density function is inv...

Implicit large eddy simulation of shock-driven material mixing.

Under-resolved computer simulations are typically unavoidable in practical turbulent flow applications exhibiting extreme geometrical complexity and a broad range of length and time scales. An important unsettled issue is whether filtered-out and subgrid spatial scales can significantly alter the evolution of resolved larger scales of motion and practical flow integral measures. Predictability ...

Finite Element Simulation of Welding Distortion in Large Structure

Fusion welding is widely used in heavy industries to join different parts together. But sometimes welding-induced distortions cause problems like misalignment during assembling and make costs to remove them. Thus it is imperative to predict and mitigate them to improve weldments quality and also reduce in fabrication costs. This study at first will introduce inherent deformation method for pred...
