چکیده
Reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS) is an emerging technology to enhance wireless communication in terms of energy cost and system performance by equipping a considerable quantity nearly passive reflecting elements. This study focuses on downlink RIS-assisted multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) that comprises three links Rician channel, including base station (BS) RIS, RIS user, BS user. The objective design optimal transmit covariance matrix at diagonal phase-shifting maximize the achievable ergodic rate exploiting statistical channel state information BS. Therefore, large-system approximation derived using replica method large dimension random theory. enables identification asymptotic-optimal matrices alternating optimization algorithm. Simulation results show are consistent with calculated Monte-Carlo averaging. verify proposed algorithm can significantly MIMO performance.

Performance Analysis of a Hybrid Mimo Technique for High Data Rate Wireless Communication System
The demand for higher data rate and better quality of service (QoS) in wireless communications was growing fast in the past few years. Obtaining these requirements becomes challenging for wireless communication systems due to the problems of channel multi-path fading, higher power and bandwidth limitations. One of the most promising solutions to this problem is Multiple Input Multiple Output (M...

متن کاملOn the Achievable Diversity-Multiplexing Tradeoff in MIMO Fading Channels with Imperfect CSIT
In this paper, we analyze the fundamental tradeoff of diversity and multiplexing in multi-input multi-output (MIMO) channels with imperfect channel state information at the transmitter (CSIT). We show that with imperfect CSIT, a higher diversity gain as well as a more efficient diversity-multiplexing tradeoff (DMT) can be achieved. In the case of multi-input single-output (MISO)/single-input mu...

This two-part paper aims to quantify the cost of device activity detection in an uplink massive connectivity scenario with a large number of devices but device activities are sporadic. Part I of this paper shows that in an asymptotic massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) regime, device activity detection can always be made perfect. Part II of this paper subsequently shows that despite t...
متن کاملMIMO Wireless Communication
■ Wireless communication using multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems enables increased spectral efficiency for a given total transmit power. Increased capacity is achieved by introducing additional spatial channels that are exploited by using space-time coding. In this article, we survey the environmental factors that affect MIMO capacity. These factors include channel complexity, exter...
