Laurent+Pietarinen partial-wave analysis

A new energy-dependent fit strategy, independent of any specific microscopic theory, is applied to kaon photoproduction data with center-of-mass energies ranging from 1625 MeV 2296 MeV. Experimental are fitted in terms a modified Laurent expansion (Laurent+Pietarinen expansion) which previously has been successfully multipoles. The present aim extract resonance pole parameters directly the data, rather than sets constrained single-energy then used search for missing structures. In this proof-of-principle study, well-described by initial L+P fit, and it shown that only moderate amount structure, mostly higher multipoles, original fit. Problems due an unmeasurable overall phase, plaguing single-channel multipole analyses, mitigated implementing form phase limitation, fixing values using multi-channel analysis.

We present a partial-wave analysis of the polarization data for the reaction ~ p~ p → ppπ◦, based solely on the recent measurements at IUCF for this channel.
