Learning of quality improvement theory – experiences with reflective learning from a student perspective

Purpose The purpose of this study is to investigate how professionals who are continuing their education rate a higher quality management course with an emphasis on reflective learning and real problem-solving. audited consists module-based teaching, while students work improvement project at workplace between sessions. This has twofold aim: contribute the design courses based doing as we learn offer insight into use final grading method that consist folder reports from intermediate steps report. Design/methodology/approach After completing course, received survey questions statements about content, delivery methods. They answered these seven-point Likert scale also open-ended questions. Findings It clear professional value interweaving theory real-life training, they teaching in which reviewed applied practical problems. Reflective was achieved through feedback both teachers fellow various interim reports. Students’ employers benefit gain experience improvement. report three sub-assignments highly appreciated. Practical implications Developers structured, assessed participants perceived its components. Originality/value modules steps, where apply workplace, original concept. correspond plan, do, check act (PDCA) methodology.
