Abstract Funding Acknowledgements Type of funding sources: Public Institution(s). Main source(s): University Groningen/University Medical Center Groningen. Background Left ventricular (LV) remodelling has been described as the pathway that precedes heart failure. This process consists changes in shape, size, volume and function left ventricle; all this directly associated to increased risk major adverse cardiac events (MACEs). Different parameters are used evaluate geometry multiple imaging modalities. In nuclear medicine, LV can be studied through shape index (SI) eccentricity (EI). These values examine degree sphericity elongation (EI) ventricle. However, perfusion PET/CT, not extensively with SI EI values, their role is yet elucidated. Purpose project aim describe patients examined by gated 13N-ammonia PET/CT ischemic infarction scenario. Methods We retrospectively randomly selected 140 referred between 2016 2022 for suspected or diagnosed CAD. The were classified 4 groups 35 according presence burden ischemia infarction: normal=0% scar burden; mild ischemia=5–10% moderate-severe ischemia≥10% infarction≥5% burden. collected information regarding myocardial flows (myocardial blood flow (MBF) at rest, hyperaemic MBF stress coronary reserve (CFR)) (SI end-diastolic rest stress, end-systolic stress). All variables automatically processed QPS/QGS software. performed a multicomparison analysis mentioned One way ANOVA variance Dunnett’s Test Post Hoc, stablishing control group. Results study population consisted 35.7% women, over 36 years old, no significant differences factors. group showed important when compared groups. With maximum change 0.090 observed group, minimum −0.041 Control subjects had statistically higher (p<0.001) (p = 0.005), 0.001)and lower other Additionally, follow linear proportional extend (Figure 1 2). Conclusions(s) seem clinically relevant early detection remodeling. there still research do establishing cut-off evaluating prediction MACEs.

Left ventricular shape index assessed by gated stress myocardial perfusion SPECT: initial description of a new variable.
BACKGROUND Ventricular remodeling is predictive of congestive heart failure (CHF). We aimed to automatically quantify a new myocardial shape variable on gated myocardial perfusion single photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) (MPS) and to evaluate the association of this new SPECT parameter with the risk of hospitalization for CHF. METHODS AND RESULTS A computer algorithm was used to mea...
متن کاملDiastolic left ventricular functional indices: Comparison between gated myocardial perfusion SPECT and echocardiography
Introduction: Many patients have only diastolic dysfunction without any abnormality in systolic function. We compared cardiac diastolic parameters obtained by gated myocardial perfusion SPECT (Gated SPECT) with those evaluated by echocardiography. Methods: Forty-nine patients (aged 37-85 years, 19 males and 30 women) underwent Gated SPECT and echocardiogr...
متن کاملLeft ventricular Tei index in athletes.
I read with great interest the recently published study by Stoylen et al. in the December, 2003, issue of European Journal of Echocardiography. The investigators reported that all intervals of the heart cycle and myocardial performance index (Tei) of left ventricle (LV) were shortened during incremental exercise. We also found that Tei index in athletes was significantly lower than that in the ...
متن کاملNormal values of left ventricular functional indices in gated 99mTc-MIBI myocardial perfusion SPECT
Introduction: Although left ventricular(LV) function parameters measured by gated myocardial perfusion SPECT (GSPECT) have been validated, experimental data have revealed that the calculated the LV function parameters using GSPECT are affected by patient populations as well as particular acquisition and processing conditions. We tried to determine the normal values ...
متن کاملEffects of coronary artery bypass grafting on left ventricular function assessed by multiple gated ventricular scintigraphy.
The effect of coronary artery bypass grafting on global left ventricular ejection fraction and regional contraction was studied in 56 consecutive patients with chronic stable angina pectoris by means of multiple gated ventricular scintigraphy at rest and during dynamic supine exercise before and six weeks after myocardial revascularisation. Before operation, exercise induced a significant fall ...
