Lightweight design of the planetary gear reducer of reduction drive hub motors

Abstract Hub motor is the development direction of new energy vehicles in future. Usually, reduction drive hub directly arranged narrow rim space, so there are strict restrictions on volume and weight its reducer. This paper presents a highly integrated transmission scheme which can improve working life For planetary gear reducer by motor, multi-objective optimization function with minimum large coincidence degree constructed. In terms constraints, necessary conditions fully considered, module meets requirements national standards, strength transmission. Using genetic algorithm, optimal solution satisfying constraints obtained. The results show that engagement between sun increases 67% equivalent decreases 31%, reduce noise at same time.
