Limits on Quaoar ’ s Atmosphere
Here we present high cadence photometry taken by the Acquisition Camera on Gemini South, of a close passage by the ∼ 540 km radius Kuiper Belt Object, (50000) Quaoar, of a r’=20.2 background star. Observations before and after the event show that the apparent impact parameter of the event was 0.019±0.004”, corresponding to a close approach of 580±120 km to the centre of Quaoar. No signatures of...
متن کاملOn braided FRT-construction
Fully braided analog of Faddeev-Reshetikhin-Takhtajan construction of quasitriangular bialgebra A(X,R) is proposed. For given pairing C factoralgebra A(X,R;C) is a dual quantum braided group. Corresponding inhomogeneous quantum group is obtained as a result of generalized bosonization. Construction of first order bicovariant differential calculus is proposed.
متن کاملOn FRT{Cli ord Algebras
We study the q-Cli ord algebras Clq2(N; c ), called FRT{Cli ord algebras, introduced by Faddeev, Reshetikhin and Takhtajan. It is shown that Clq2(N; c ) acts on the q-exterior algebra (O q2 ). Moreover, explicit formulas for the embedding of Uq2(soN ) into Clq2(N; c ) and its relation to the vector and spin representations of Uq2(soN ) are given and proved. MSC 2000: 81R50, 15A66
متن کاملLimits on the gravity wave contribution to microwave anisotropies
We present limits on the fraction of large angle microwave anisotropies which could come from tensor perturbations. We use the COBE results as well as smaller scale CMB observations, measurements of galaxy correlations, abundances of galaxy clusters, and Lyα absorption cloud statistics. Our aim is to provide conservative limits on the tensor-to-scalar ratio for standard inflationary models. For...
متن کاملInferring the global cosmic dust influx to the Earths atmosphere from lidar observations of the vertical flux of mesospheric Na
Estimates of the global influx of cosmic dust are highly uncertain, ranging from 0.4–110 t/d. All meteoric debris that enters the Earth’s atmosphere is eventually transported to the surface. The downward fluxes of meteoric metals like mesospheric Na and Fe, in the region below where they are vaporized and where the majority of these species are still in atomic form, are equal to their meteoric ...
