Load Frequency Control of Marine Microgrid System Integrated with Renewable Energy Sources

In seaports, low-carbon energy systems and efficiency have become increasingly important as a result of the evolution environmental climate change challenges. order to ensure continued success technological advancements must be introduced number systems, such seaport vehicles, harbor cranes, power sources berthed ships. Harbor areas might need microgrid handle these aspects. Typically, microgrids that substitute conventional generator units with renewable (RES) suffer from system inertia problems, which adversely affect frequency stability. A load controller (LFC) based on novel modified proportional integral derivative filter (MPIDF) is presented in this paper for enhancing performance marine (MMS). The serval optimization algorithm (SOA), recent bio-inspired algorithm, used optimize MPIDF coefficients. This tested containing RES wind turbine generators, sea wave energy, solar generation. efficacy proposed verified respect other controllers PIDF PI. Similarly, meta-heuristic validated compared algorithms including particle swarm (PSO), ant colony (ACO), jellyfish (JSO). study also evaluates robustness different perturbations step load, changes parameters, parameter variations.
