Localizing Transformations of the Galaxy-Galaxy Lensing Observable

Modern cosmological analyses of galaxy-galaxy lensing face a theoretical systematic effect arising from the non-locality observed signal. Because predicted tangential shear signal at given separation depends on physical modeling all scales internal to that separation, uncertainties in non-linear small are propagated outwards larger scales. Even absence other limiting factors, this alone can necessitate conservative small-scale cuts, resulting significant losses information data vector. We construct simple linear transformation observable removes non-locality, enabling more aggressive cuts for model. Our modified makes it possible include observations significantly smaller than those under standard approach analyses. More importantly, ensures contained within is exclusively drawn well-understood
