In millimeter-wave (mmWave) systems, hybrid precoding/combining architectures are an attractive low-complexity alternative to the use of fully digital precoding. This is because reduction in number Radio-Frequency (RF) and mixed-signal hardware components. Hybrid design involves a combination analog processing that enables both beamforming spatial multiplexing gains mmWave systems. paper presents algorithm for precoding combining designs The proposed does not depend on antenna array geometry, unlike orthogonal matching pursuit (OMP) approach. Moreover, this allows precoders/combiners perform close known optimal performance unconstrained precoders combiners. Simulation results verify scheme outperforms previous methods literature terms bit error rate (BER) achievable spectral efficiency with lower complexity.
