Low-Cost Automatic Weather Stations in the Internet of Things

Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) are extensively used for gathering meteorological and climatic data. The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) provides publications with guidelines the implementation, installation, usages of these stations. Nowadays, in new era Internet Things, there is an ever-increasing necessity implementation automatic observing systems that will provide scientists real-time data needed to design apply proper environmental policy. In this paper, extended review performed regarding technologies currently Stations. Furthermore, we also present usage emerging such as Edge Computing, Deep Learning, LPWAN, etc. future AWS-based observation systems. Finally, a case study results from testbed AWS (project AgroComp) developed by our research team. include test measurements low-cost sensors installed on unit predictions provided Learning algorithms running locally.
